The Swisse Mark Webber Tasmania Challenge will return to Tassie’s west region in 2013, the place where it all began back in 2003. To make it to the finish line, competitors will run, trek, mountain bike and kayak over 350 kilometres across some of the area’s most remote and rugged wilderness.
The opening day of the Challenge will kick off on Wednesday 27 November, and move through the north-west and west regions before finishing in Hobart on Sunday 1 December.
The popularity of the Swisse Mark Webber Tasmania Challenge has grown from year-to- year and in 2013, competitor registration has been stronger than ever, with only a limited number of spots still available.
There are three types of teams competitors can register for - elite pairs, enthusiast pairs, and enthusiast teams, which allows for three people to participate in the one team and substitute team members across the various disciplines.
A prize pool of $30,000 will be up for grabs for the elite pairs and is designed to attract some of the world’s best adventure racers to Tasmania.
Entry fees have been set for the 2013 Swisse Mark Webber Tasmania Challenge, with an early bird team entry discount for teams that register before 31 May, 2013.
