Inside Shell Eco-Marathon in Manila - 2015 with Michelin

127 Teams to compete from 17 countries in Asia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Oman. In Luneta Park Manila, Philippines from Feb 26 - March 1, 2015. 15 teams were from various schools of the Philippines.  The road show was open for public for free.

Where you see improvised small cars that runs for 3000 kms or more per liter. Ever since its remarkable dry run and competition exhibition in Paul Ricard - France and some of the coolest race tracks all over the world.

Some of its exhibit were like those inside the Ferrari World and Yas Marina. I visited last 2013 in Abu Dhabi, UAE. One of the best way to experience motoring show museum and feel the race track with out living the country.  F1, moto, car and virtual racing games inside was exciting. Mostly energy related games, exhibits, mind boggling activities and car stuff.

The challenge goal is to inspire students from around the globe. To Test, design and build energy efficient vehicles. The winner will be determined by the farthest it runs with the use of least fuel. To push the boundary for fuel efficiency and creativity among young bloods.
“The Michelin and Shell partnership are aligned with valuing innovation for better mobility, that also pursues energy-efficient and safe solutions for mobility.” said by Michael Nunag, Chief Representative of Michelin Philippines. Who supported this fuel efficient competition

The Michelen tires used for this competition provides low rolling resistance for optimal traction and longer travel time for each prototype vehicles. The tires used is 6x more energy efficient tires on the market. They support all teams by providing safety advice to best utilize its tires to get optimum performance.

“Road Safety is everyone’s responsibility. With Michelin Road Safety City 2015, what we want to bring to all the participants is the basic but important knowledge that will keep them safe on the road.  This includes respecting traffic rules, the meaning of road signs, and how to avoid danger on the road.

All the activities are designed to demonstrate the importance of road safety, with the hope that this will help to reduce road accidents,” said Ruedee Euachongprasit, Director of Communication and Brands, Michelin East Asia and Australia.
