SwimJunkie Race Series VIP Lobo, El Nido Palawan and Caramoan CamSur 2018

More than 7 thousand islands - So its more fun to swim in the Philippine Islands. Swimjunkie showcased and establish the Philippine islands to various open water swim sport destination. As they deliver breathtaking swim courses and incomparable race experience. The race locations made in Verde Island Passage VIP Lobo, Batangas last May 6, 2018 and El Nido Palawan Yesterday June 10.

No need for you to spend thousand of dollars just to join the ironman swim race in other country. So multisport athletes, sport enthusiast, executive swimmers, competitive UAAP and NCAA athletes are welcome to join. Dont worry because you still have a chance to join in Caramoan, Camarines Sur this coming August 19, 2018. Where survivor series, international documentaries and xXx Xander Cage hollywood action movie were filmed.

Estimated participants is around 250-450 per race ages from 14-55 and up. I asked SJ Betsy how many Marshall and scuba divers staff per race - she replied more than 100. Are we allowed to use scuba diving outfit during the race - she replied no. She also mentioned several celebrities and Alaska CEO Ironman Fred will also join the swim race. And 15 time Ironman race winner Belinda Granger from Australia.

35 foreign participants for El Nido and 40 in Caramoan flew it to the Philippines last year to join the race. A ground breaking for a young local series and sport tourism in the country. With an audiences of more than 100 enthusiast per race. They attracted swimmers all over the world from US, Australia, Japan, Spain, Taiwan and Singapore.
The race were only limited to 3-4 times a year, as open water swimming attracts sports fanatic attention it deserves. Organizers consider them lucky if 30 people register is the race is not more than 4km. Today they tripled more than just like a fun run. Generating more than 300 participants.

And swimmers are not limiting themselves to 2k swim but with more than 2k distances. SJ challenge did into transition from 2.5k, 4k, 5k and then 10k swim to fulfill swimmers passion for ocean adventures.  Whatever thier motivations would be its shows the respect for the beauty, power and desire to protect the ocean.

Unlike pool - you don't have the full control over the weather, waves, tides and currents. Estimated time to finished the 10k race is around 3-5 hours. Just like when I sail and did scuba diving for 2 weeks in the Philippines last March its unpredictable.

You have to look out for jelly fish, sea snakes other sea life. Just like traffic in Edsa, open water swimmer will also encounter struggle with garbage. and other man made chemicals such as gas that irresponsible corporation and careless citizens polluted with.

3/4's of earth surface were covers by water and 95% of water were coming from ocean. Everyone should the aware with cleanliness to save the Philippine seas. As simple as using fewer plastics products, usage of ocean friendly products, take care of the beach by not removing corals and wildlife, support organizations that protect it and share tips to fellow.

You may see info and register here if you like to join the race. The race is on in Caramoan - Sunday, August 19 at 6 AM - 11:30 AM. Cant wait to see the next race! Philippines is known for great beaches. So Michael Phelps, Aqua-man and Poseidon let thy great Championship commence by the sea.
