Thoughts on One Championship Manila Fight Night 2Dec2016

I watched the fight night last Friday Dec 2, 2016 and here's my thought beside ringside. One Championship Age of Domination showcased the best of MMA and Filipino world class fighter.

Brandon Vera Vs. Hideki Sekine - The main event between Philippines and Japan's best heavyweight. Brandon hits Hideki hard by left leg 45 degree kick. I think he lose consciousness, It was a really strong body shot kick attack that hits his solar plexus.  That cause the undefeated Japanese Juggernaut to fall down. While he always failed catch-lock-grab Brandon's kick and punch.

And open himself into a serious damage into face. While Brandon hits him 9 times by left fist on face while lying-falling on Octagon's cage after that powerful kick. Until the referee stops the fight on 1st round before brutal potential death. It was Technical Knock Out at 3:11 on 1st round!

Brandon was really patient and anticipate the great grappling skills of the Japanese foe. So he distant himself, while threw some distant kick and punch using his leg and punching reach advantage. See the fight recap main event video here.
Because he was taller and longer so playing distant is an advantage. I can sense the grappling prowess of Hideki, It seems that he can make Brandon tap anytime if he plays close fight with him. I think Brandon cannot overpower his upper extremities by looking at his stance and composure.

He was heavily muscled that looks like a Champion and hungry Sumo wrestler. Fighting stance that you cannot defeat in close range. One wrong move from Brandon may cause him being crushed by this heavy muscle warrior.

But I can see that Brandon anticipate this, so he distant himself even if the Japanese champ falls on ground. He let him stand again, and utilize the ring. He control's the pace, made a great footwork and attacked him with precision.

On the other main event figth Bibiano Fernandes Vs. Reece McLaren seems to be a close fight in Bantamweight division. It was a close 5 rounds split decision. Bibiano overcome the bloody nose on 3rd as he proves that he is the real winner.

As he threw a lot of powerful right hand shots to McLaren. It was entertaining while Reece threw a lot of powerful left hand head shot as well. I saw a lot of grappling lock and unlock exchange techniques.

It was exciting when Reece started to Bully Bibiano's broken nose. Threw a lot of exhibition fancy fake kick and knee strike. But it didn't intimidate Bibiano from making landing punch on his face and taking advantage of points system round by round.

Reece made a troll face, tongues out and nodding head. To piss off Bibiano even in grappling maneuvers. It even excited the Arena fans when people start shouting as Baby Baby! After blonde Brazilian girl cheers up to Bibiano. The Champ was tested again in his 6th title defense.
On other fights Pinoy Mark Striegl wins over Sotir Kichurov MMA champion and Kickboxer from Bulgaria. I can hear his girl shouting out loud coaching from the ringside. The other fans on ringside whispered at me, its his girl telling him what to do. While Pinoy Geje Eustacio loss to Toni Tauru MMA fighter from Finland.

From Team Lakay Pinoy Honorio Banario defends his lightweight title to Rajinder Singh Mena via submission. His grappling skills really improved he even told us at post press con appearance.

Leandro Ataides knocks out  Mohamed Ali in the 2nd round. And Edward Kelly knocks out Su Noto as well. On women's division Jenny Huang lock made Pinay April Osenio tap out at 2:14.

While Danny Kingad beats Pinoy Eugene Toquero next is Sim Bunsrun wins over Liu Peng Shuao, Xie Bin loss to Mario Satya Wirawan in first night match. I think that One Championship set the benchmark of exciting world class viewing performance when it come to live fighting experience. I can feel that I am in Las Vegas main event that night.

As Great world class 11 series of exciting fight performance. With lots of effects, fireworks and exciting surprises. I've seen last Friday figth night as ONE Championship produced its great event in MOA Arena, Mall Of Asia was just like the Boxing/UFC main event in MGM Grand.
