When Pat and John invited me to travel again last week to Cavite. With same Ford Ranger's that we used 2 weeks ago in Rizal, Batangas and Laguna Province. They said Gawad Kalinga event, I thought we will be building a house or be bringing some cement and construction materials. To test the Ranger's toughness when it comes to carrying heavy truckloads. Without hesitation I said yes to joined them. It could be exciting travel road trip since I'm a construction boy.
Also I've driven several Ford models for the past years. Then proved that its safety & latest auto park technology was true to be told. They even lend me the latest Fiesta before for my city driving routine and daily office use. It was not construction as I've taught and impression of GK. Now we will be bringing gifts and playing with the kids. Before the expectation was great travel, racing, adventure, sport, speed or latest tech event with Ford.
Since its Xmas Holiday season, It feels good to talk to less fortunate kids. I remember some of them wants to be an Architect, Soldier, Police, Basketball and Football player sometime. They said I was rich, because of that good Cool Ranger that we used. I told them it was not mine. They just lend me that cool drive because I posted several stuff online as a blogger.
They caught me off guard, I just told them to follow your dream in any ways. You know kids they asked a lot of questions. From school, hobbies to the things you daily do they asked a lot. To escape from interrogation, I asked them to choose between Jollibee or McDonald's or Walt Disney? Then I receive lots of different cool kids perceptive weird answers.
I've said, those who said McDonald's high five kids! Your dream now came true! Because Hamburglar, Birdie the Early Bird including Santa Claus is just around the corner and was brought by Team Ford. To surprise and bring joy to the dozens face of makulit at maingay na mga bata. Aside from receiving toys and clothing gifts according to its age group.
More than 100 Gawad Kalinga children experience Xmas with Ford employees and volunteers last December 14, 2017. We played several parlor games where the winners or the winning team were treated with different prizes. The kids even prepared several talent performance like songs and dance entertainment intermission numbers to us guest. As a way of saying thank you to its donors.
I missed our traffic radio team it feels like I'm inside-intact with the fast and furious crew. But last week we used viber as a way of communication. Thank you & more power to Ford Philippines! It was another great driving milestone and unique story to share as you always go further!
